Mauro's art department offers set design, interior design, custom prop building, graphics and 3-D rendering. As the Production Designer, Mauro collaborates with the Director, Producer, and D.O.P. to establish the specific needs of the project. Upon repeated script review, he advises and offers suggestions as to developing a dynamic representation of the scene(s) to precisely describe the 'feel', 'flavour' and 'spriit' of the production as interpreted by the Director. In meeting with other members of the production design team he discusses specific details of the set to define the best solutions in creating a more unified mood and atmosphere for the production.

As the Production Designer, Mauro's "hands-on" philosophy is more effective in not only overseeing every aspect of the project from beginning to end, but also allows for accurate creative changes to set and props in a more timely nature. He supervises set construction, painting and dressing, hiring skilled and talented crew as required to assist in the completion of project. Mauro's experience in the industry since 1998 is comprehensive, covering feature film, television, and both commercial and independent Video. He started by working for numerous successful commercial Art Directors, perfecting skills in carpentry, painting and set dressing. He has many years of experience managing and coordinating production crews. Mauro has created and maintained an elaborate network for prop buying, enabling quick procurement of unique and specialty props.

Working on a variety of projects of different styles, has allowed him to develop a creative sense, able to define additional needs and characteristics contributing to the success of each production. His eye for composition, shapes, colour, attention to detail and the overall design are the key ingredients to Mauro's success.
